  • Families cycle for ROYALS Posted on 24 August 2016



    On 12th August 2016, team of brave ROYALS staff, trustees, members and their families set off along the Thames riverside path. They cycled almost 6 miles, in a bid to raise much needed money for ROYALS Youth Centre. The event was organised by ROYALS and the London Riverside BID.


    Cllr Philippa Crowder gave her support, opening the event at Barges Car Park.  Cycling  through Coldharbour lane, our intrepid adventurers took in the beautiful sites.  To congratulate and refuel the group for the return journey, a picnic was arranged at the RSPB nature Reserve.


    On the day the team were supported by local community members and members of our Safer Neighbourhoods Team. Kane White, a security guard from Security Projects Ltd, who sponsored the ride, even joined us on a unicycle!


    In all The group managed to raise a whopping £1000.  This much needed money, will support our charity to continue supporting the young people, families and the wider community in Rainham.
